Beautiful Georgian Grade II listed building ten minutes walk in to the city centre, station and racecourse. Ten en-suite rooms including two family rooms, one which sleeps up to six, a four poster room and a single room. All have colour TVs, some with DVD, Tea and coffee making facilites, good selection of books, games, videos for children. Totally non-smoking, with very large private car park. Great views in some rooms of station and railway museum and the newest attraction, the York eye.
Friendly and informal and extremely comfortable . Very well receommended. Good access to all coastal roads, Dales, Moors etc. You hosts Pam and Tony have 16 years experience in looking after guests. Large garden and patio to rear. Pet friendly.
Good restaurants and pubs nearby for evening meals.

The University of York, set in over 200 acres of mature parklands around a central lake, allows for a relaxing and refreshing stay. Wentworth College is located on the west side of the campus and offers budget accommodation for visitors to York and the surrounding areas. Located just outside the city centre it provides an excellent base for excursions to the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, surrounding towns and villages, and has excellent public transport links into York city centre. All rooms have ensuite shower and toilet, and are provided with a television, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, and tea and coffee making facilities. Full English and continental breakfast is served Monday - Friday mornings in the Edge Restaurant. Breakfast on a weekend is a continental 'breakfast-in-a-box' selection which can be found in the fridge in the room.
