The Alcuin Lodge Guesthouse is a historic building too, although it dates back to around the turn of the last century, known as the Edwardian period. The guesthouse's public areas and bedrooms are full of period furniture, making for some charming holiday accommodation in York. The staff are friendly and welcoming too, always on hand to give you some information or advice on what to see and do in and around York.
