The Allerdale Hotel is a Victorian Villa built in the 1850's for an Admiral, and was the first property on the famous Cary Estate. The Hotel is now under the personal supervision of the Abbott family, and has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable surroundings to ensure a relaxing break. All bedrooms are en suite with colour tv and tea making facilities. The Allerdale also offers free wireless broadband connection to all guests (ask for details)
We are delightfully situated, and nestling in spacious gardens, where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful sub-tropical surroundings. A private path from the gardens leads to the promenade (300yards) and Torre Abbey sands. The Allerdale Hotel is in a quite location however situated only a few minutes walk for the town centre and all local amenities including the English Riviera Conference Centre
There is so much to see and do in Torbay it is often difficult to fit it all in. Torquay offers a wide choice of restaurants and famous pubs. The Allerdale also prides itself in offering an excellent choice menu for you to enjoy, and relax in the bar for a quiet drink.

Although only 5 minutes walk from Torquay Harbour and the city center, we are situated in a quiet residential position away from all traffic noise and can offer plenty of guaranteed free parking.(very few hotels in Torquay have enough parking for all guests) The Hotel's sun-trap garden is ideal for spending a day lazing around the pool (Open June to September). We have a large bar and restuarant which would make a great venue for a function.(The bar and restaurant are set in the base of the old Torquay Wintergardens)
We have single, Double, Twin and Family rooms all of which are furnished to a high standard with tea/coffee making facilities and all rooms have a digital freeview colour T.V.Free internet access is available at all times. Rooms with sea views are available on request, so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment. All rooms are en-suite and non-smoking.No all male groups are allowed without prior agreement.
