Terravina Hotel Description
Following the sale of Hotel du Vin, Gerard and Nina purchased their new hotel in early 2007 and have spent months carefully renovating and adding a contemporary twist using the style and imagination of local craftspeople. Tasty food, an ?open? kitchen and an excellent wine cellar also form an essential part of an all-round experience that combines relaxed yet professional service with attention to detail.
Gerard and Nina are endeavouring to make the hotel as ?environmentally friendly? as possible and they are members of the Green Leaf Tourism scheme, run by the New Forest National Park. The hotel uses local, organically-grown lavender for the hand-made toiletries as well as eco-friendly housekeeping products, while in the kitchens, organically-grown free-range local produce is always the preferred choice. Gerard and Nina are delighted to share their venture with guests, old and new.
In and around the hotel
Whether you are in the restaurant with its ?open? kitchen and wood burning stove or the sunny outside veranda for breakfast, lunch and dinner? the food will delight you. Or you may choose to stay in the cosy residents? lounge with comfy sofas and intimate corners. Outside is a garden and swimming pool. Some bedrooms have their own private garden or veranda. All are individual and are equipped with Freeview/satellite TV, DVD players, Internet connections (wireless broadband), roll-top baths and other thoughtful additions for your comfort and relaxation. We are a non-smoking hotel.
Out and About
The natural splendour of the New Forest is on your doorstep. You?ll find dozens of activities in this wild landscape and its nearby coasts, including leisurely walks, demanding hikes, mountain-biking, horse-riding, windsurfing, playing golf, bird-watching and beaches. There are chic shops too in nearby Southampton and Bournemouth, plus the many local boutiques in the New Forest?s pretty towns and villages.

All 65 rooms have been influenced by different artists. The hotel features its very own champagne bar/club, a lane of boutique shops(hairdressers, gifts, cafe), an art gallery, and casual wine bar/grill restaurant with really good value wine (roughly half the prices of other restaurants) and an oak panelled lounge bar.
Right on the high street and seconds walk away from West Quay Shopping Mall, and local bars, restaurants and attractions.
We are just a short stroll to the Isle of Wight ferry terminal and within easy access of M27 and M3 motorways.
