DescriptionThe Moorland Hotel is situated in an unrivalled location on the southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park, 700ft above sea-level, facing South, commanding uninterupted views across the moors and to the sea beyond. It is the ideal centre for touring this beautiful and very interesting part of South Devon, including the beaches of the South Hams, the fascinating areas of Dartmoor with its quaint villages and of course the ponies, or the coastal city of Plymouth with all its maritime history. There is also a wealth of National Trust Properties in close proximity and the Eden Project in Cornwall is a pleasant hour's drive away. Well located for our corporate guests too. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but only 20 minutes from the centre of Plymouth. Even closer if you are visiting Langage Industrial Estate or Tamar Science Park. Almost seconds away from the China Clay works in Lee Moor. Rising from the ashes is our new Phoenix Steakhouse serving mouth-watering local Devon steaks cooked on our char grill. Our superb kitchen works its magic with fresh ingredients to create dishes to remember. Hospitality and comfort is the keynote of this Establishment and is personally supervised to by its Resident Proprietress.
