Location This hotel set in a peaceful location, and is located close to the shores of Rutland Water in Rutland, Britains smallest county. Rutland Water covers 3100 acres with 25 miles of shoreline, picnic leisure sites, adventure playgrounds, trout fishing, day sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, walks, an outdoor climbing centre and Whitwell is a short drive away from the historic market towns of Stamford and Oakham.
How to get there By Car: From the North and Grantham follow the A1 south and take the A606 (signposted Rutland Water) to Whitwell. From Leicester take the A47 east, take the A6003 to Oakham then follow the A606 to Whitwell. From Peterborough and Huntingdon follow the A1 north and take the A606 (signposted Rutland Water) to Whitwell. The nearest mainline rail station is Peterborough, twenty-five by taxi from Whitwell. There is a local station at Oakham, ten minutes away by taxi.
Room description The bedroom accommodations are designed to a high standard with comfort in mind. Each bedroom consists of the modern amenities, while still maintaining the original character of the country houses, including: TV, radio alarm clock, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
