Close to Surfing Beaches, opposite Whipsiderry Beach and Porth Beach to it's right, plus those in Newquay and Watergate Bay, Golf, The Eden Project, plus many more, all attracting huge interest from all walks of life. Cornwall enjoy's Britain's best climate with warm sunny springs and tropical like summers. There are also 300 miles of coastal paths maintained by the National Trust. At the Gull Rock Hotel you will discover a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in pleasant surroundings. Complemented by it's superb unrivalled beach location, we hope you will find your holiday to be a perfect here at the Gull Rock Hotel.We are located at Porth, 1.5 miles from Newquay's Bustling Centre and overlooking Newquay Bay. We sit opposite Newquay's most private and secluded Beach 'Whipsiderry', which has also been described as one of Europes top 20 beaches. It is a paradise for children with caves and rock pools where they can explore all day. To the right, a short walk and visible from the hotel is 'Porth Beach', with its flat protected waters it is ideal for swimming and first attempts at surfing. To the left, a short journey by car or pleasant walk is 'Watergate Bay', one of the surf centres of Europe, with its golden sands and magnificent waves. You are spoilt for choice with beaches in Newquay, there are still another six to be discovered, more beaches than days in the week. Newquay itself is centrally located in the county, making it an ideal base for visiting the rest of Cornwall Heated Outdoor Pool(Summer holidays use only). DirectionsApproaching Newquay on the A30 turn off right to RAF St. Mawgan, continue on this road, you will come to a roundabout - go straight on towards Newquay. Continue on this road until you come to a junction, take the right turning. Continue on this road until you come to a double roundabout, take the 2nd exit on the 1st Roundabout sign posted to Porth. Go down a hill, past the Beach on your left, nearly all the way up the other side The Gull Rock is on the right - look out for the pink 'Long Bar' sign on the front of the hotel.
