Langhorne Garden Hotel Description This family-run hotel was built in the 1870's, next to the Leas promenade, a mile-long clifftop walk with views over the Channel to France on a clear day, which has been described as the world's finest marine promenade.
The hotel has 29 en-suite rooms, a lift, dining room offering traditional English cooking and a wine/cellar bar offering a selection of real ales, draught and bottled lagers, wines and bar snacks.
The Langhorne is the ideal location for a visit to east Kent either on holiday or as a stop-over on your way to the continent via the Channel Tunnel or the ferries at Dover.
But don't take our word for it - these are just a few of the comments from our most recent guest book:
'I must congratulate you on running a friendly and comfortable hotel. Your staff are excellent and the warmth and hospitality shown to us all was very much appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending the Langhorne Garden Hotel and look forward to seeing you all again' - DB (President) HCW Bowls Association - week tour x 38 ladies.
'We only stayed here one night but the room was really comfy and the food was delicious. Thanks for a great start to our holiday.' K family, Wales en-route to France.
'Just completed our seventh visit and find it as good as ever - excellent staff make this home from home.' The Stones, Norfolk
'Thank you again to Mark and Ian and all your helpful staff for another comfortable stay with good food, accommodation and service. Always happy to return.' A & D H, Altrincham |

The village has a strong community feel, which you will experience as soon as you walk in. Styled as a nice pub, for nice people, it also has an extensive wine list which would appeal to even the greatest wine buff.
Parade Cottage, the adjacent Victorian building where the accommodation is housed, has been totally gutted and restored to a very high standard. All rooms have been decorated and furnished to offer luxurious accommodation with en suite facilities.
Breakfast is included in the price and this is served in the courtyard or on the terrace, offering incredible views of the sea and, on a clear day, France.
Rather than just offer you bed and breakfast, The Ship Inn strives to offer you an experience, with a personal touch. This 1st floor double room overlooks a private courtyard. | Windsor |
Located on the Kent coast, Folkestone successfully blends its role as a port and popular seaside resort. You can take a day trip to France by Seacat or ferry from Dover, or on the Channel Tunnel with your car. There is plenty to see in this historic area, including the cities of Canterbury and Rochester, and the famous Dover Castle. Folkestone offers golf, horse racing and a wide range of sporting activities at the Folkestone Sports Centre as well as the new coastal park area and spectacular views of the Channel and Romney Marsh from the North Downs Way and Saxon Shore Way coastal paths.
While there is ample free parking outside the hotel we are not able to reserve or guarantee spaces to any particular guest. However, a little patience in this matter usually means success or a member of the family being able to move our own vehicle.
Guests should note that whilst the hotel has a lift, there are two steps to a landing then four steps to the entrance of the building. Whilst we have made every endeavour to make the property accessible to all, it is impossible to add a ramp within the health and safety regulations, sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
