Garden Lodge Hotel Description
Whether on business or leisure, the Garden Lodge could not be more ideally placed. Just 10 minutes drive from the Channel Tunnel and only 7 miles from Dover and the many Cross Channel services that are offered by SeaFrance, PAOSL and the Cruise Terminal. The beautiful Cathedral City of Canterbury, a must for all visitors, with numerous shops and tourist attractions alike, is only twelve miles up the road.
The Garden Lodge is a very comfortable family home. Our beautiful garden has aviaries, a fish pond and a mosaic tiled, solar heated swimming pool with steps for easy access (only available in summer months).
Our restaurant uses home grown vegetables and free range eggs from our own chickens and ducks. All our cakes and pastries are home-made, and during the summer we also serve delicious traditional Kentish cream teas in the garden by the pool. Traditional Sunday lunch is always available in our beautiful dining room and on the patio - when booking, please let us know as it is open to non-residents and can be very busy.
We are within easy reach of an internationally recognised equestrian centre, Lydden Motor Racing Circuit, golf courses, zoological parks, historic castles, sports facilities, recognised walks, cycle routes and a multitude of gardens.
Why not extend your stay to a minimum of 3 nights and then receive a day trip as a foot passenger with SeaFrance with our compliments. Date, and preferred times of outward and return journey, must be stated on original booking form.
Very convenient for Dover Cruise Terminal with guaranteed private parking.
You are more than welcome to leave your car at our Guest House while you are cruising - 6.00 per day. We can also transport you to and from the terminal.

Traditional and stylish accommodation, 5 minutes from the Channel Tunnel, 20 minutes from Dover Port and Ashford Eurostar terminal. All guest bedrooms lead off a splendid galleried landing with roof lantern, which is approached from a typical low rise staircase of the period. Bedrooms are beautifully furnished in traditional style, but with modern appliances to ensure the comfort of our guests.
Please note, except for Endcliffe Suite, this hotel is unsuitable for children under 5 years of age.

This is the closest hotel to Folkestone?s Eurotunnel station, and Dover?s ferry port is just a 10-minute drive away. The convenient location makes the hotel a great base for those visiting the continent, with great transport links and easy access to France by ferry or by train.
The hotel offers comfortable modern accommodation and contemporary comforts and facilities, including high-speed wired internet access in all rooms and complimentary Wi-Fi wireless internet access in the hotel?s lounge and bar area, and the Great Room. Located on the Kent coast, Folkestone successfully blends its role as a port and popular seaside resort. You can take a day trip to France by Seacat or ferry from Dover, or on the Channel Tunnel with your car. There is plenty to see in this historic area, including the cities of Canterbury and Rochester, and the famous Dover Castle. Folkestone offers golf, horse racing and a wide range of sporting activities at the Folkestone Sports Centre as well as the new coastal park area and spectacular views of the Channel and Romney Marsh from the North Downs Way and Saxon Shore Way coastal paths.
While there is ample free parking outside the hotel we are not able to reserve or guarantee spaces to any particular guest. However, a little patience in this matter usually means success or a member of the family being able to move our own vehicle.
Guests should note that whilst the hotel has a lift, there are two steps to a landing then four steps to the entrance of the building. Whilst we have made every endeavour to make the property accessible to all, it is impossible to add a ramp within the health and safety regulations, sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
