Beach Lodge Hotel Description
An excellent family run 4 star non-smoking Bed and Breakfast. The house is a beautiful Edwardian property that was built as a Gentleman's residence in 1908. We have recently refurbished the house whilst preserving its remaining original features and we achieved a 4 star rating in June 2006, which was our first season. Beach Lodge is located in a tree lined avenue just 5 minutes walk from Southbourne's Blue Flag Beach, Southbourne Grove, at the top of Grand Avenue, is within easy walking distance and offers a selection of shops, pubs and cafés.
Southbourne is only a few miles outside Bournemouth's vibrant town centre and a short drive from Poole, Christchurch and the New Forest. So, Beach Lodge is ideally situated for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful counties of Dorset and Hampshire and is in the perfect location for beach lovers as this stunning coastline has seven miles of award winning sands and spectacular views across Poole Bay. As of Spring 2008 Europe's first artificial surf reef at Boscombe will be operational and should provide some great surfing conditions here on the South Coast. For all our guests we have secure storage for outdoor activity equipment including surfboards, wetsuits and bicycles. |

Set in a small haven surrounded by tall pine trees and gardens, the hotel is only a short stroll away from the high-class fashion boutiques, restaurants, nightclubs and theatres. The hotel offers a contemporary, yet stylish Brasserie restaurant and a choice of lounge and bar areas in which to relax.
All of the hotel's sixty-four bedrooms have been designed with the guests' comfort in mind. Twenty-four hour room service is available.
The pride of the Anglo Swiss is its own 'Aqua' health and leisure club, with an indoor, heated swimming pool, a spa, sauna and gym equipment. Adjacent to the leisure complex are the hotel's beautiful sheltered gardens, ideal for soaking up the sun.
The Anglo Swiss is convenient to fine dining, shopping and entertainment venues.
We are currently undergoing refurbishment (due to be finished by the end of March 2006), but disruption to guests is minimal. A large room with two Singles bed with shower and bath.A large room with a Double bed and a Single bed.
Some of these rooms are in chalets at the rear of the main building.
