Redcar Hotel Description The Redcar Hotel is an elegant Georgian Town House Hotel in the lovely city of Bath and situated beside Henrietta Park.
Henrietta Street, on which The Redcar Hotel stands, was designed between 1788 and 1792 by Sir William Pulteney and named after his daughter Henrietta Laura Pulteney. Three Georgian town houses were first converted into a Hotel in 1949. Because the property is in a golden location, it was later sold to an organization owned by the famous entertainers Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck, who spent a large amount of money extending and developing this fine hotel. All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, hospitality tray and direct dial telephone. Conference rooms are also available for 2-70 delegates. There is a Lounge and Bar on premises.
The hotel is ideal for business or pleasure. Bath is a unique destination which offers an extraordinary historical perspective - from the Romans to the Georgians. Bath is also celebrating the opening of Europe's most spectacular spa facilities. Within easy driving distance, are some famous attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, the Cotswolds, and the awe-inspiring Stonehenge.
We have limited free car parking spaces (First Come First
Served). We regret that there is no lift at our hotel. All prices are inclusive of VAT @ 17.5% and full English breakfast. Wireless Internet access is available in the hotel.
A strict no-smoking policy is maintained throughout the hotel.

There are 5 doubles, one twin and one single room. The pub offers an informal area to relax with a drink or dine. Menus are changed regularly and include bar snacks, light lunches and a la carte selections. Local ingredients are used where possible. You can relax with a drink by the open fire or in the garden.
Our 2 buildings were originally constructed by William Harold, a carpenter, who built a house and workshop around 1750. In 1871, William Harold III converted the house into a public house and in 1981, the workshops were converted into bed and breakfast accommodation. A full history is available when you come and visit.
Experience this beautiful part of the country from The Wheelwrights Arms.
