The hotel is housed in an antique building used as a textile factory in the 19th century, later turned into a hotel for Turkish tradesmen carrying out business affairs in the Republic of Venice. In 1887, the daily newspaper Il Gazzettino started being published out of the building next door. The name of this charming modern hotel, Al Gazzetino, pays homage to the entrepreneurs of the past, both journalists and tradesmen.
