Rental cars and buses go from the airport to the Piazzale Roma. From there, guests can take a vaporetto (water bus) across the lagoon. The stop nearest the hotel is Ferrovia. The hotel can also arrange for water-taxi transportation directly to the front door (surcharge).
The vaporetto (water-bus) system connects the major islands of the lagoon (Murano, Burano, the Lido, and Torcello) with the historic center of Venice. Vaporetti 1 and 82 travel the Grand Canal from Piazzale Roma to St. Marks Square. Beyond water travel, walking is an easy way to explore Venice. The historic center measures less than 8 square km (3 square miles). The hotel can also order water taxis on request.
