Opened Easter 2007, Tom's Hotel is a centrally located Gay Hotel in Berlin, the first one of its kind between Wittenbergplatz Square and Nollendorfplatz Square. The hotel is undergoing enlargement works, so it will soon be the biggest hotel for the homosexual community in the German capital.
The building also hosts the Tom's Bar, one of the oldest and most popular gay bars in Berlin. The area around Motzstraße, which is known for being the gay district of the city, is also renowned for many other highlights of the gay community, including shops, clubs, restaurants, cafés, bars and pubs. The famous KaDeWe shopping center and the Ku’damm (Kurfürstendamm) Boulevard are within walking distance of the hotel, as well.
This Gay Hotel is the best place to stay to check out the homosexual scene of Berlin: in June, there is the traditional gay and lesbian Stadtfest Party around Motzstraße, and the CSD Parade is only one week later, just a few steps away.
