This hotel is situated 75 m from St. George's Bay with its small but well-kept sandy beach. Within 100 m of the hotel guests will find a 16-screen cinema complex showing all the latest releases, a bowling alley, state-of-the-art gym, one of Malta's top shopping complexes and a variety of restaurants, bars and clubs. Malta International Airport is only 8 km away.
How to get there
Guests arriving by car should exit the airport and follow signs to Luqa, Marsa, Harmun and Valletta. Then follow the signs towards Pieta, Msida, Gzira, Sliema, St Julian's. Once in St Julian's, follow the signs to St George's Bay.
Room description
All rooms have an en suite bathroom with a shower/bathtub, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a mini fridge/bar (charges apply), a hairdryer, and a safe (charges apply). Most rooms their own window, balcony or terrace and a wifi Internet connection is also available in some rooms. Furthermore, a radio and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all accommodation as standard. A number of non-smoking rooms are also on offer.
Sports and entertainment
This hotel features a roof-top pool with a large sun terrace, sun loungers and parasols. For an additional fee guests may also try their hand as banana boating, water skiing, jet skiing, motor boating, diving, windsurfing, sailing and pedal boating. It is also possible to go horse riding and mountain biking (charges apply to both). Malta Golf Club is only a 35-minute drive away.

Paradise Bay resort hotel is very popular, spacious and comfortable. It is beautifully situated overlooking the picturesque sister islands of Gozo and Comino, surrounded by the clear water of the Mediterranean, making it an ideal holiday for all ages. The hotel offers very practical well furnished and comfortable accommodation in a pleasant friendly atmosphere.
Accommodation
Comfortable and brightly decorated rooms. The Superior rooms with bay view have a safe, free of charge, and a ceiling fan whereas the twin rooms are with a sea view. The room amenities for all rooms are satellite TV, radio, direct dial touch-tone telephone, trouser press with iron and ironing board, tea / coffee making facilities, mini refrigerator, hair-dryer, en-suite bathroom with shower fitting over bath, balcony.
Food & Beverage
The hotel has two restaurants to choose from (one buffet and one A La Carte). Il-Merill restaurant is a dining experience out of this world with its captivating view of the blue Mediterranean. The chef invites you to taste his mouth watering creations of local and European cuisine. This 500 seat restaurant features a table de hote menu (buffet) as well as a la carte menu (extra cost). The restaurant also offers room service during meal times. With easy access from the main pool and the beach, the Islands Edge Bistro also features a full bar and offers take away food & beverages. The Bistro provides an excellent variety of light snacks, burgers, pizza, pasta, grills & breakfast. During summer, Friday night is BBQ night (supplement charged). The hotel serves a starter of cocktail pasta followed by grilled steak, grilled fresh fish, spare ribs in BBQ sauce, chicken wings and a choice of salads. There is a free flow of local wine during the BBQ. The hotel features two full bars - the Cockerel and the Kaninchen - both offering an excellent selection of local and imported beer, wines and liqueurs and providing comfortable seating areas. The Kaninchen also stocks an excellent selection of exotic cocktails, and a popular range of American and European cigars.

DIVING: Paradise Bay is Malta's premier dive site. Paradise Diving School, located at the hotel, caters for all levels of ability and offers effortless diving. Comino and Gozo are only minutes away by the schools own speed boat. Leaving straight from the hotel beach, this is the most convenient boat diving you will ever do. As a P.A.D.I. International Resort, the school offers a range of courses including Open water diver, Advanced open water, Rescue diver, Dive master. For the beginner the school offers an Introduction to Scuba. The Diving School also offers a variety of water-sports (seasonal) including water-skiing & canoeing from the Hotels Private Beach. SPORTS: The Hotel has two fully equipped Tennis Courts. In the games room you will find Billiards and Ping Pong (Table Tennis). SWIMMING: You have the choice of four swimming pools in the hotel area. The main pool is fish shaped and also features a shallow paddling pool for small children. Next to the pools you find extensive sun terraces with free sun beds and umbrellas. The hotel has the largest indoor swimming pool in Malta. It is heated during winter and also features a shallow paddling pool for small children and a whirlpool. GOLF: The hotel is affiliated with The Royal Malta Golf Club and our Guests enjoy discounted green fees.
Facilities & Services
At Paradise Bay resort hotel we also provide amenities for our young guests. There is a fully equipped games room with the most popular video games, pinball and pool tables. The children's playground located just outside the games rooms has padded safety flooring. There is also a gift shop and it is located within view of the children's playground and games room. The gift shop is more like a minimart then a hotel gift shop as it carries an extensive variety of souvenirs, beach toys, local crafts, postcards, newspapers, sweets, chocolate, snacks, suntan oils, ice cream and other products.
Useful Information
The hotel is conveniently located at Malta's northern tip, just minutes away from the island's best beaches. The islands of Gozo and Comino are an easy boat ride away. Regular scheduled public bus service operate to the Cities of Sliema, Valletta, Mosta, St. Paul's Bay, Birkirkara, Mellieha and all the other towns can be connected via Valletta or Sliema. The hotel is 36km from the airport and 6km from Mellieha centre. The nearest beach to the hotel is the hotel beach at a distance of 100 meters and the Paradise Bay Beach is only 2km away.
Building Works at the Hotel - Winter 2005/06
Please note that some building works are taking place at the Paradise Bay. A vital alternative emergency escape stairway is being built as well as 17 guest rooms and an additional large capacity lift. The only things left now are plastering, some pipe works and tiling. Services to guests are not compromised in any way. Works have minimal impact on clients. All works are done during the normal working day and every consideration is given to all guests. Everything is expected to be over by the end of May.
