CenterHotel Thingholt is a brand new hotel located in Reykjavík?s city centre, housed in a renovated printing factory. At CenterHotel Thingholt there?s a strong focus on quality modern design inspired by Icelandic nature. Inside you will find original and unique modern art by Icelandic artists. Currently, the hotel has commissioned local artists to create individual pieces for each of the rooms, making each one unique. During your stay you will be treated to a friendly and personalised service and are assured of serene and restful accommodation in a refined atmosphere. Restaurant Domo is located on the ground floor of the hotel. Domo specializes in Asian-European fusion cuisine. The hotel has 3 bars: - one in the hotel's lobby where you can have coffee 24/7, but general opening hours of the bar is from 07:00-24:00. - one in the basement of the Domo Restaurant where there is regular live music and a dance floor. That bar is open 18:00-01:00 on weekdays and 18:00-03:00 Fridays and Saturdays. - there's also a bar on the ground floor of the restaurant which is open with the restaurant at 11:30-14:30 for lunch and 18:00-24:00 for dinner.

Located in Reykjavik's Central Square across from the Cathedral and House of Parliament, this hotel could not be any more central. With the main shopping street just around the corner, Reykjavik is on your doorstep. Keflavik International Airport is a 45 minutes drive.
Rooms
Rooms vary in size from medium to large. Although they retain a traditional feel to them, rooms have all mod-cons and are almost luxurious. Decorated in pleasant soft colors, rooms are homely and comfortable. All rooms are in exceptional condition as are the character bathrooms.
Restaurant
Guests have use of two restaurants; The Cafe which is extremely popular with locals and has a lively atmosphere most of the day and evening; and the main restaurant, which offers a more formal dining experience in a luxurious traditional setting.
General
More of an institution than a mere hotel, this is certainly one of the best hotels in Reykjavik. Opened back in 1930, this hotel has a very high reputation. With its central location, good service and excellent product, success is sure to continue for this famous property.
