DescriptionThe four-star Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget, built in 1873 on Margaret Island - the island of parks in the centre of Budapest - reflects the turn-of-century atmosphere of a hundred years ago. The hotel is connected to the neighbouring Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget by a heated underground corridor thus enable guests to benefit from the services of both hotels.
The hotel is situated in the calm and picturesque surroundings of Margaret Island, yet in the heart of Budapest. Only minutes away from the centre of the capital, it is literally an island of calm and relaxation. The island, which stretches for 4 kilometres, is a protected leafy botanical parkland with ancient trees, a Japanese Garden, a Rose Garden, an open-air amphitheatre, walking and jogging tracks. Bicycles, horses, carts and electric buggies can be hired to help you get around.

DirectionsTake the M1 motorway, and then change to the M7 motorway in the direction of the 'Erzsebet' bridge. After driving through the bridge to the Pest side, turn to the right twice to go down to the embankment in the North to Árpád Bridge. You will find a sign somewhere around the middle of the bridge with the name of the hotel, turn right at the sign and enter to the Margaret Island. You will find a gate, where you will receive a ticket for parking (parking is free of charge for hotel guests)
From the airport: Follow the "Centrum" signes to the end of Üllöi út. Take Múzeum körút - Károly körút - Bajcsy Zsilinszky út -Váci út to Árpád Bridge. Turn left, drive to the bridge, you will find a sign somewhere around the middle of the bridge with the name of the hotel, turn right at the sign and enter to the Margaret Island. You will find a gate, where you will receive a ticket for parking (parking is free of charge for hotel guests)
