The Chambre d'hôtes offers 2 rooms, 1 mini-suite and 1 suite, which are all equipped with a mini-bar, Flat Tv, Roberts radio and luxurious bathroom.
After a day of shopping or a visit to one eof the many musea Ghent has got to offer, one can relax in the garden.
The breakfast is served in the dining room with some beautifull paintings of P.N. van Reysschoot, in the garden or in your room.
When staying two nights in the weekend, the hotel will offer a free bottle of Champagne.
This unique city monument was build in the 18th century and has been in private hands ever since. From origin the building was a winter residence. In summertime the prominent families spent their time on their vast premises in the countryside.
Altough the most of the authentic features are well kept untill today, the Triest couple, who bought the premises in 1766, did a lot of finishing work and brought in a lot of welness. Under their control some important work to the front of the house was done. The interior was enriched with well known wall paintings from Pierre Norbert van Reysschot, wich are still in good shape today.
As from 2004 the building belongs to the interior decorators Jan Rosseel and Marc Vergauwe. Their interest in the magic of the old days and the respect for the past, combined with a artistic touch of decorating and a incredible eye for detail, made a result wich can't be expressed with words. |
